Morning Discussion
by Chris Faylor, Dec 05, 2008 12:45am PSTMorning Friday, nice to see you around.
Last night, Nick and I discovered that there are few things greater than puking all over your boss, or pouncing on top of him and clawing him to death. Even if you hold nothing against your boss--we have nothing against Steve, really!--it is surprisingly cathartic.
On a separate note, Left 4 Dead sure is fun.
Oh, and Mr. Xbox 360? Could you and Ms. Tomb Raider try not to freeze up so much? I didn't enjoy redoing that whole level just because you two couldn't play nice. And twice within 30 minutes? Neither of you had problems before last night, what's going on?
Oh no, don't give me that. Don't even think about red ringing, you hear me mister?

Does anyone think there could be the possibility of a shack Left 4 Dead tournament? My first thought would be for there to be no real draft but instead groups of 4 get together on their own and the details of the matches can be worked out from there. Or maybe it's truly random? Everyone gets their name thrown in and teams are randomly selected.
What do you guys think?

The random witch placement is still iffy for me. On the one hand, it's an element of luck and gives the game more to chance, but if you make it the same place for the other team, then they get an advantage since they know where it is. Maybe they could intentionally place the witch in the same conditions (if it's blocking the path for one team, maybe it can block the other team in another spot).
Also, doing the TF2 tournament so early led to problems when they were still tweaking the balance and updating the game (breaking demos), so I say we wait.
