Microsoft Frees Up Multiplayer on Select XBLA Titles

In an effort to show those offline gamers what they're missing, Microsoft is turning silver to gold and making free the multiplayer modes of eight Xbox Live Arcade titles.

The following XBLA titles will feature free multiplayer in December: A Kingdom for Keflings, Aegis Wing, Bomberman Live, Hardwood Hearts, Hardwood Spades, UNO, Small Arms and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

The deal is part of Microsoft's "Friendship is Free" program. It is unknown whether the program will become a regular occurrence.

  • A small selection of Arcade games for December only? Way to not push the boat out Microsoft!

I persinally would make Silver account holders get 4 hours of online play a month or something, not much to cause a server problem but enough so silver people can try it out once in a while. I think for most gamers out there, there's probably an online multiplayer game they can get behind. I have alot of Xbox friends that tried online multiplayer when they got the console, decided they didnt like it (when they are new to the game and system and thus suck) and never really get a chance to be lured into it again.

Hell, throw in some extra ads for silver players too, thats another idea.
