Ah crap i was expecting the other ghostbusters with the gorilla.

ATARI releases some of the crappiest and buggiest games of almost any developer. Only Ubisoft surpasses their bugginess and only Eidos can top their crappyness. Of course this is not the ATARI you and I grew up with and know and love, no this is some money grubbing media conglomerate that simply bought the name and turned it into shit. Now ATARI is synonymous with utter shit games. Thanks you corporate twats.

Bottom line: This game is going to be shite. Average score on the web (Not counting those fucking sellouts like PC Gamer, IGN, Gamespot, etc..) is going to be a disappointing 60%.

I'll be buying this game day one probably but it looks like it might have an unnaturally high uncanny valley effect since we not only mentally associate the models to be real people, but people that actually exist and that we're really familiar with for 25 years.

Ok to clear a few questions up regarding the game.

1) You play the part of the 5th member of the team alongside the original cast.
2) The game is designed to play like a movie. There is no HUD around the edge of the screen. It's in 3rd person view with your pack displaying everything you need to know that would normally be on the HUD. Because Terminal Reality wanted to make it look like a movie, the trailer has been pitched like a movie trailer.
3) The ingame characters look better to me than the ones in the movie. YouTube the Comic Con demo to have a look.
4) Terminal Reality are developing the game for next gen, Atari are only publishing after Activision dropped the title as they saw no long term financial gain with regard to sequels.

This looks like it's following GOW's fluff marketing strategy. Those models will not look like that in the actual game.

i feel a strong urge to buy this regardless of quality.

I've got to admit, this looks funny.

Bill Murray's voice acting sounds far less boisterous, loud, and fun than I remember in the movie. Like he's half-asleep/dead.

But then, I think a lot of actors make the mistake of not speaking loudly enough into a microphone. They could all learn something from Billy West.

i love the ghostbusters. ahhh childhood memories. definatly picking this up even if its not that good, it for sure will be better than all the master system/genesis ghostbuster games i used to own
