New Prince of Persia Trailer: Press Hype, Part 3

Many are saying the game is just too easy... that may be true but if it is the problem is that the designers have succeeded so well at making the controls work that it's hard to make them not work. The difficulty in the game lies not in completing it, the designers want everyone to be able to do that. It lies in finding the harder path through a level, because it looks better and is more fun to go that way. It lies not in defeating the enemy, the designers want everyone to win the battle. It lies in wining with as much style as possible. Players I think are missing this point. In a hugely retro urge I think the game might benefit from a score meter. The more difficult the combo you use in the fight the more points you get, the harder the path through the level the more points... this may seem remedial but it seems that gamers are not yet ready to grasp the challenge in a game this playable without having it spelled out for them.

How could any of these "journalists" that appear in this PROMOTIONAL VIDEO ever hope to retain any shred of credibility? Doesn't this fly in the face of journalistic ethics?

Game looks great though.

As they have "rebooted" this game (maybe trying to bring in more new fans) I wonder if they've gone back to simpler puzzles so as not to frustrate PoP newbs.

I've seen very little footage of actual "puzzles" so far, and most seem to be very basic (which doesn't necessarily say "this game is going to be toned down for newbs" but I was just wondering).

A lot of games you're just running and shooting, running and shooting, running and shooting. In this one you're constantly active.
