Shack PSA: Left 4 Dead Merchandise Hits Valve Store; Steam THQ Pack $99 This Weekend

Just in time for the happy holidays, Valve has rolled out the Left 4 Dead section of its online store, offering movie posters and T-shirts based on the horror game.

The shirts all run at an even $19.99, while each poster--all four being reproductions of the slick in-game one-sheets--cost $6.99. Those looking to grab all four of the posters can pick up some savings with the $14.99 four-pack.

Valve also sends word that the THQ Collector's Pack--a package that contains every Dawn of War, Company of Heroes and Titan Quest game, as well as the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R.--is being discounted this weekend from $219.99 to a flat $99. For anyone unaccustomed to those particular series, this is a fantastic excuse to discover some excellent PC gaming.

Am I getting this correct, they only ship to the US? Hot dang, what did we beautiful Swedes ever do to be excluded from getting Valve stuff? Are we too wonderful, or am I simply not able to read properly?

I really wish they would switch (or hire) graphic designers for their T-shirts. I hate that they feel the need to put something (such as a logo) on the front AND the back, making you feel like a total walking billboard. There's something to be said for being subtle.

I'll probably pick up the posters eventually, but I wish they packaged them better. I bought the TF2 poster pack, and the first set arrived all beat up. They replaced them for free, so I'm not bashing Valve; the customer service was awesome. But I've bought a number of posters online from game developers and they are ALWAYS packaged poorly, allowing the poster to be damaged.

Am I just missing it, or is there no way to zoom in on the t shirt design? I want to see what it says on the Francis shirt, but all i can get is the one front/back view.
