The Australian Classification Review Board has refused to classify Monolith's spooky shooter sequel F.E.A.R. 2, a move that effectively blocks the uncensored game from sale within the continent.

It was not publicly stated why the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 shooter was refused, but it is likely to continue in the tradition of other once-blocked games--Fallout 3, Silent Hill: Homecoming--with a censored version that resolves the board's complaints.

In related news, a new trailer was released, showcasing a rather cheery Monolith. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin arrives in North America come February 10.

I was even watching Q&A which is generally an excellent current affairs show here and I love Tony Jones but god dammit even he thinks that games are weird and Fallout 3 shouldn't have heroin in it, god dammit Tony you're fucking everything up!

Yeah, this is getting retarded. I don't care about FEAR but the fact that yet another game has been censored by our messed up ratings board is shitting me off.

Well, where is this supposed referendum where we can state our opinion on the R18+ rating?

So many great games butchered because of a single, over-conservative and ignorant politician.
