F.E.A.R. 2 Blocked in Australia, New Trailer Arrives
by Chris Faylor, Nov 26, 2008 10:54am PSTThe Australian Classification Review Board has refused to classify Monolith's spooky shooter sequel F.E.A.R. 2, a move that effectively blocks the uncensored game from sale within the continent.
It was not publicly stated why the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 shooter was refused, but it is likely to continue in the tradition of other once-blocked games--Fallout 3, Silent Hill: Homecoming--with a censored version that resolves the board's complaints.
In related news, a new trailer was released, showcasing a rather cheery Monolith. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin arrives in North America come February 10.

It's completely pathetic that people are letting them control what they can and can't do in this way, especially when it is so hypocritical that they can watch a movie or read a book with the same or worse content than these games.
If I was an aussie I'd be pissed about this.

This goes for media as well, including games.
