New Godfather 2 Screenshots: Heavy Weapons

Several new screenshots of EA Redwood Shores' The Godfather II have emerged from publisher EA, detailing some of the scary weapons and scarier men found in the game.

The open-world game, mixing gun-touring action with gangster management, hits PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in February.

The license must have cost a fortune if they're pushing ahead with this after the last one tanked (and after a lengthy delay too). Really can't see this one taking off.

Godfather 1 didn't tank, it sold fairly well and got decent reviews.
At the time it was released, The Godfather's weapon targeting system and their hand to hand combat was superior to that of GTA or any other sandbox type game. Hand-to-hand is still better than what's found in GTA4.
Godfather 2 has much more strategy built into it and I am looking forward to it's release.

I'd agree with all of that, but compared to expectations it tanked. I was actually at EA at the time and the development and marketing spend on it was immense, it undersold compared to that.

Nevermind completely underservicing such a heavyweight license. Jesus, this shit is embarrassing. YEAH GUNS AND EXPLOSIONS. THATS JUST WAHT THE GODFATHER IS ABOUT. Why spend all that money!

I've heard good things about the first one, it had it's shortcomings, but if the this fixes those issues, it could be a great game.
