Far Cry 2 DLC Adds Weapons, Vehicles and Maps

A downloadable "Fortune's Pack" will add new weapons, vehicles and maps to the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions of Far Cry 2 next week, publisher Ubisoft has announced.

Pricing was not disclosed, nor was the possibility of a PC release for the content. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, the open-world shooter was released in late October, and has since sold over one million units.

The Fortune's Pack DLC will contain the following:

Three brand-new weapons
- Silenced shotgun
- Sawed-off shotgun
- Crossbow
Two new vehicles
- Unimog
- Quad

Four new exciting maps
1. Cheap Labor
2. Last Resort
3. Lake Smear
4. Fort Fury
New single-player weapons and vehicles also available in multiplayer

When the game forces you to pick from a set of weapons for a each of your slots the idea of gaining access to more weapons seems rather useless. You should be able to freely choose which guns you want from the total list.

this game has more problems then any patch will ever fix. oh, it runs okay but the design decisions rate highly among the worst I’ve seen in a game, starting with the boring, repetitive missions to the little things like lack of proper widescreen support.

I just sold my copy of FC2 to a friend for 30€, I absolutely hated the gameplay. Everything as realistic as it can be but enemys take a clip point blank with no problems.

This game was quite awful, the vehicles were incredibly clunky, the weapons were pretty much useless, since every enemy could take 2 full clips and still stand. I never got the feeling it was an open world due to the constant cliffs and walls that kept me in a very narrow path to most areas. Stealth seemed to be beyond broken, and I can't even count the amount of times I got stuck on mounted guns, with no way to get off them. It felt very linear in gameplay which makes me think of the original Far Cry, so take a tip from Bethesda with fallout 3 and Oblivion, because they understand the concept of open worlds and sandbox games.

I won't even talk about multiplayer.. the horror.

Once again PC is probably going to get screwed over so they can milk the console peeps...

I guess I'll add Noobisoft to the list of companies I won't buy games on PC. I'm sure it will get along well with EA Fail.

This DLC should be free from how mediocre I heard the multiplayer was (and thats all i would buy games for usually). Battlefield Bad Company (have it for ps3) has had 2 free major updates since launch. One to add Conquest mode, and one that added 4 new maps among other changes. Warhawk has added some new features for free too over the year and half. If only other companies did this once in a while.
