Morning Discussion

Last night, I saw some old people dance to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up." Some of them were even slow dancing. I dare say it was the best karaoke night ever.

As Thursday kicks off, I find myself rather impressed with the optional game installs of the New Xbox Experience. I picked up a 120GB hard drive for my Xbox 360 yesterday, affording me the space to actually install some games, and I'm glad I spent the cash.

Not only does Rock Band 2 load up faster after installation, it just feels smoother and snappier. And none of that noise from the DVD drive. ShamWow!

I just told my friend about this deal and he got offended and stated "there is a service called bit torrent you know!"

I don't know if this is a band-by-band issue, or a record label issue, but several high-profile bands still don't offer their songs to subscription members (meaning that they still want you to pay to download in addition to the $14.99 per month)

These bands include (and these are just the ones I remember off the top of my head):

      Dave Matthews Band
      INXS (their new stuff)
      Fallout Boy
      Aerosmith
      Red Hot Chili Peppers
      Kid Rock
      Boys Like Girls
      Evanescence
      Strata

I expect that type of foolishness from DMB and Aerosmith, but assuming this isn't just a Rights issue, the other bands confuse me.
