King of Fighters 12 Bringing Hand-drawn HD Sprites to Consoles Next Year

I've been looking forward to this for a while now, as I really like the move to higher quality 2D sprites, and hope the trend continues.

While I'm looking forward to Samurai Shodown Sen a little bit...I'd be far far happier with a new Samurai Shodown game done this way...and if this (KoFXII) does well, maybe we'll see that.

It is a really good time for old school fighting fans. SF2HD, SF4, KoFXII, Samurai Shodown Anthology (I hope we'll get an uncensored SSVSpecial and I really hope (though I doubt) we'll get Samurai Shodown 6 with blood in it...given that the issues that had them taking it out were specific to events that occured in Japan involving a stabbing in an arcade), Samurai Shodown Sen, that new 2D game from the Guilty Gear guys, and other stuff thats not coming immediately to mind.

Looks good, wish I cared about KoF :\

Not to mention SF4 and hopefuly the new Guilty Gear which is not called Guilty gear.

Also hopefuly Tekken 6 will be good now if only the new MK was as pimp as KOF 12 and SF4 :( I would be in fighter heaven.

Capcom vs SNK 2

Looks rad and all, but I'm not going to juggle it and SF4. To really get into a fighter you gotta spend a while with it, and since both look pretty sweet I gotta just go with nostalgia.

This is one of the most beautiful 2D games I have ever seen.

This has been a long time coming. I really wish Capcom would do this too. We need to get rid of the mentality that everything has to be 3D, which is not the case.

And this will be the first KoF I've purchased since 2K for the Dreamcast.
