Special Sackboy Costumes Represent First LittleBigPlanet DLC, Coming November 6
by Maarten Goldstein, Oct 31, 2008 4:41am PDTThe official PlayStation Blog has word that the first downloadable content for LittleBigPlanet will be released November 6. Available until November 19, the free DLC allows you to dress up Sackboy with a Halloween Mask, or in a "Launch" Spacesuit.
Though these initial Sackboy costumes will be free, the blog outlines future costume DLC which will cost money. Other upcoming DLC will include, among other things, additional objects, materials and sounds for the game.

$1.99 for a single costume for a game character? WTF is going on? So much for the "free and open" nature of the PS3.
I was going to buy this game but I think I'll just rent it so my kids and play it enough to get it out of their system.
