F.E.A.R. 2 Coming to Steam, Direct2Drive

Monolith's spooky shooter sequel F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin will be available through PC digital distribution platforms Steam and Direct2Drive on February 10, the same day it hits retailers, publisher Warner Bors. announced today.

Originally titled Project Origin, the sequel was renamed earlier this year after Warner Bros. and Monolith acquired the F.E.A.R. property from previous owner Vivendi.

In addition to the PC, F.E.A.R. 2 will hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 10.

They obviously don't realise that they're competing against an always-worldwide digital distribution network, called torrent.

If you don't provide the service, someone else will.

        From the press release:

"October 27, 2008 - Warner Bros. Digital Distribution announced today that the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment game, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin will be available for digital download via partners in North America in conjunction with the day and date retail release."
