BioShock 2 Platforms Confirmed

We've seen the trailer, we've known the release season, and now, thanks to publisher 2K Games, we finally know what platforms BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams will hit.

"BioShock 2 is destined for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC platforms," 2K rep Charlie Sinhaseni told GameSpot, confirming speculation that the sequel would hit the three same platforms as the narrative-driven underwater shooter original.

The publisher previously revealed that the 2K Marin-developed sequel would hit in the fourth quarter of its 2009 fiscal year--a period that spans from August to October of 2009.

The original BioShock, developed by 2K Boston and 2K Australia (formerly Irrational Games), arrived on PC and Xbox 360 in August 2007. A PS3 version debuted this week, with 2K Marin and external studio Digital Extremes aiding the original team with the port.
