Xbox 360 Sales Fuel Record $15 Billion Quarter for MS

In my opinion, having all three consoles in my household, I think the 360 is by far the best. And get this folks- I've gone through 4 of them. That's how much i love my 360. Besides the fact that the online is just sooooo much better than PS3, I've only seen a few games that really look amazing on the PS3, and this were console specific. (Heavenly Sword/Uncharted/Folklore). The catalog of console specific games for the PS3 would not make anyone purchase it solely for gaming. Everything thing PS3 has, 360 has in my opinion. If I want a damn Blu Ray Player, I'll go buy one. Sony was stupid in making this a major selling point in their console. PEOPLE BUY GAMING SYSTEMS TO PLAY GAMES. All this did was up the price for the PS3 and I'm laughing my ass off at them. The Wii is fun, on occasion. (Drinking, females playing, parents playing, etc.) But I couldn't just own that, while 360 is out there making unbelievable games. People, Microsoft ripped off Sony's head, then shit down it's neck. Then peed down it.

This is exactly why Sony could ultimately end up with more PS3's out there, but still lose this generation of console wars. Hopefully this is all the reality Sony needs to come to the conclusion that a 600 or 700 dollar console was fucking insanity.

Yeah, what now Sony? Sony has always been about trying to tie dissimilar markets. They tried to make the PS3 be too much to too many people. I bet the people who thought the HDDVD add-on was retarded are eating their words now.

I hope Sony bleeds to death this generation. I've never forgiven them for what they did to the Dreamcast, which was lightyears ahead of the PS2. Ever play Soul Calibur with the VGA adapter? BLEW away the PS2. But Sony strong armed everyone in Japan, telling them not to even SELL the Dreamcast if they wanted what Sony had coming down the pipe.

Fuck them. Fuck them in their ears...

This generation of consoles (PS3/360) hasn't been so cool. They were released with a bunch of PC features at higher prices than past generations. The 360 with hard drive after almost 3 years just recently hit $299 and that still isn't mainstream pricing. The games and accessories are more expensive. I really don't know how they are going to pull off the next generation.

A lot of you dislike the PC platform for different reasons but at least the cost of building a decent gaming PC has drastically decreased since 2000 and not increased like the consoles.

With the yen muscling up lately, things are about to get worse.

Sony being stubborn and refusing to drop their price on the PS3 will make them think about next generations stratedgy a little harder rather than assuming people will buy no matter what the price..

I am not suprised that MS won this console war. They made sure that this would be developer friendly and were first at the door with a fair priced product. Despite the red lights of doom the 360 is a great console, I think Microsoft was honestly naive about the failure rate and that is what took so long to give the extended warranty they did.

The PS3 is over priced and the wireless technology sucks (tho I wish my 360 remote connected wirelessly the same way as my controllers). The software was been underwhelming. Diffiucult development and manually managing bandiwth issues in the hardware does not matter (360 was designed to be nearly bandwidth free). In the end I think it will be like the old PS2/XBOX days, this time 360 wins the war but the PS3 out techs and outshines the 360 in the end.

The Wii is like a $250 Tetris, it gets everyone addicted for awhile then they switch to a new drug after their tolerance goes up. Mine is collecting dust wondering why more games like Wii sports are not out that make use of the controller, and easy to use and fun.

go MS! they deserve it! great work.

Maybe they can lower the prices on some of the accessories now. Like, just a little bit. Pretty please?
