Next-Gen 3dfx Stuff

Read the 3dfx investor meeting, and Rampage will not be tile-based. That's it. Will have to wait for another generation to roll by. I don't think it will be far beyond Rampage though, 3dfx wants to dominate.

All of 3dfx's stuff is "next generation", because they never release real hardware.

It's like waiting for the return of Christ (for fundementalist Christians): 3dfx will release someday, but only GOD knows the day and the hour.

Damn looks like we all have mx300's anybody get the 400 here?

Damnit.. I was expecting more out of BeOS 5. It doesn't want to recognize my PCI ethernet card, and my MX300 just makes an aweful squelching noise whenever it tries to play something. :-( So it's pretty useless on my machine. Oh well.

I sorta think that the previous president and others (who left the company) left it in shambles; and it has been difficult to get things moving again. Leupp looks like he is doing his best, and things are starting to get better. But, I still say they better get their cards out soon, or they will still be in trouble. Rampage needs to come out before December.

If EIDOS publishes Daikatana, that will be a threat to their existence. A risky move indeed.

ATi better come up with some rocking shit to knock this bad boy off. Bout time 3dfx got with the program. December can't come soon enough.

Oh and that bitch at Tech-Report doesn't know jack. How the hell would he know what the future holds for cell phones and palm tools? Personally, I think it would be awesome to see a palm comp with some color in it. Besides, those damn brownish screens with black text are ugly.

Well fuck me. BeOS doens't support GeForce after all. I'm typing this from a black and white screen at 640x480, poo on me. At least my MX300 is supposed to be supported, in theory that is, because when I first booted I was greeted by an insanely sound screeching noise that almost broke my ear drums.

Off to nVidia's site to see if they have some video drivers, and maybe I'll try to put this on my old PC that has a TNT and SB16.

Here's something really funny: I was trying to configure my network card, normally I use DHCP (@home) but DHCP didn't work so I put in the settings manually. So I go to NetPositive, put in www.be.com, and what do I see... a porn site. So I'm like shit, they hacked www.be.com? So I go to www.shugashack.com, and it's the same page. I click on one of the links on the porn page and it says "for more naughty sites, click on these links..."

So I'm like WTF? Then I saw that for my hostname I put "wave.come.com" instead of "wave.home.com" and that fixed it. Weird eh?

Shit this black and white screen at 50 Hz is making me dizzy...

I think the ed was confused.
