Alan Wake Update: New Trailer, Screenshots
by Chris Faylor, Oct 21, 2008 8:24am PDTMax Payne developer Remedy Entertainment has issued a new trailer and screenshots from its psychological action-adventure effort Alan Wake (PC, 360).
The studio has yet to say when the project will be released, though it was first unveiled in 2005. Upon its eventual arrival, Microsoft will publish.
"We're working hard on Alan Wake and want to make sure it meets and exceeds the awesome potential," Remedy managing director Matias Myllyrinne noted today. "It's still time to focus and we won't be doing constant updates on the progress."
"Naturally, we'll be happy to share and show more about Alan Wake when we have the next live showing of the game," added Myllyrinne.

Jesus titty-fucking christ. Have some goddamned patience.
The trailer is amazing, can't you be happy with that? Can't you respect Remedy's decision to withhold crucial information about the plot and gameplay until THEY feel it's time to reveal it? For fuck's sake.

we don't really know any more than we did a couple of years ago.
Obviously I am not expecting (or wanting) story details, but what IS this game?

It lines up with the plot, but I didn't know he'd be communicating with them. Seems there's more here than I thought.

But it looks like the Max Payne 2 engine with improved out door capabilities and slightly higher res textures.

The lack of this information makes me think it won't be out for another 2 or 3 years.

Holy fucking awesome...the new footage looks amazing. I love the crazy open-world environment detail. Setting and atmosphere are off the charts. Really, really looking forward to this one.
Much love and props Remedy.
Is it just me, or is the internet just been slow as all fucking hell lately?
Shackvideo doesn't respond at all, Gmail lags out, and same with anything to do with World of Warcraft.

I don't know if I'll buy this (I can't play games like Doom 3, Dead Space, etc. They creep me out and Alan Wake looks like he'll do the same) I'll highly recommend it though from what I see in the trailer ^^
