Lastly, as most of you have probably noticed we have little game rating bars now on
game specific news items. What you may not realize though is that you are now allowed to
change your 'hype' level for a game once per week. So if the initial video kicks ass and
then you see that trailer that shows actual gameplay sucks ass you can rate the game as
such. This thing will be fun, really. So make sure to update your hype on
games when you see new info! We'll have the overhauled game library and tracking systems
to you as soon as we can.

I was thinking how social norms and values have changed over the years. I'd be interested in how political, religious, economic and social discourse would all be different if we were posting from that cultural era instead of our current modern times.
I think it would involve more literate people, that's the only thing i can think of at the moment.

So last night i finally got to see Zul'Aman (burned out on T5, took a 1 year break) yesterday.
Holy sweet mother of god that instance is pure fucking gold. So much fun, great pacing and the right balance between tank & spank and execution. Plus Zul'jin is an awesome climax with all the fireworks and stuff.
I almost got the PVE itch again. Trying to keep my focus on becoming a DK gladiator though, since PVP can be done casual and i don't want to spend the time needed to properly run PVE raids on a video game.
ALso:i really like how Blizzard made prot tanking on my warrior more fun and enabled dps specs to properly tank too. Two birds one stone.
Impressive.

Here's some questions:
1. Have you pirated a PC game?
2. Have you pirated console games and played them on a console? (as in no emulators, dreamcast doesn't count because sega is retarded)
3. Both? If this is the answer, which have you done more?
I'm curious. I expect the results to indicate a much larger volume if PC games pirated (since I used to all the time before I stopped gaming on the PC if the game was single player only, but very little on consoles). I don't pirate anymore now that I have a job and can pay though.
also typed this out on the iPhone, I've never crashed while making a post, I don't get how y'all have problems

2x2GB Kingston SD from NewEgg ($3.99/piece)
1x2GB MicroSD from NewEgg ($7.49)
total: $15.47 (no S&H)
Not too sure if the MicroSD card was a great deal, but 4 bucks for the normal SD cards ain't too shabby.

It's nothing new that game consoles' controllers provide feedback for in-game actions. PC gamers, however, have for a long time had to rely mostly on the static mouse and keyboard. And that would be very boring for simulation games, such as Microsoft's Flight Simulator X.
Yay for journalists who are dumb. Oh look force feedback is finally coming to PCs with new fangled joysticks Yeah he's only at least 10 years late.
for background, i'm a "management" consultant (i use management loosely because i'm still IT, just more strategic) at one of the bigger IT companies in the world. said company has a penchant for retrenchment of staff when the going gets tough. we've already had changes to expense policies and cancellations of all internal events and travel (which is a huge deal and totally sucks).
i'm not sure how professional services firms will fair. i hope that companies will continue to need our services, but instead of them wanting value-add type engagements they'll be focusing on cost-reduction, etc.
but yeah, what's your job/industry and how comfortable are you?

So I finished Dead Space, This will probably be the best surprise of the year. I was expecting a half-decent easily forgettable game but it turned me upside down and beat me up and I wanted more.
I don't think i've ever played such and intensely scary game, horror in games has always been a cheap gimmick but Dead Space did it oh so well.
The monsters could of used some more variety, it seemed like there was bipedal #1/2/3, Baby #1/2, Annoying Wall guys, Brutes and that was about it.
The End Boss was very fucking easy, I was disappointed. Its patters were the easiest to predict in the whole game. It did look awesome though, especially with the asteroid coming down above it and the ending, Thats it? it was like 1 minute... also disappointing
It also has some of the best sound i've ever heard in a game, you need surround sound for this game.
And EB just called me to let me know Bioshock will be in tomorrow, w00t!
