B[The Enemy Within]b
Things crawl in the darkness
That imagination spins
Needles at your nerve ends
Crawl like spiders on your skin
Pounding in your temples
And a surge of adrenaline
Every muscle tense to fence the enemy within
I'm not giving in to security under pressure
I'm not missing out on the promise of adventure
I'm not giving up on implausible dreams
Experience to extremes
Experience to extremes
Suspicious-looking stranger
Flashes you a dangerous grin
Shadows across your window
Was it only trees in the wind?
Every breath a static charge
A tongue that tastes like tin
Steely-eyed outside to hide the enemy within...
To you is it movement or is it action?
It is contact or just reaction?
And you revolution or just resistance?
Is it living, or just existence?
Yeah, you it takes a little more persistence
To get up and go the distance...
Yeah, Geddy Lee has a grating voice at times, but there's no disputing that instrumentally and lyrically, Rush has been one of the best fucking bands of my generation. Awesome talent!!

I'm in a who-owns-who mood today :)
P.S. Funniest opening band situation ever: Public Enemy opened for U2 in Dallas back in ~92 or so. Public Enemy did a big "down with the white man" thing in front of about 80,000 red-necks ... hilarious.
We just had a bunch of Kiss trolls invade not too long ago which spurred a nice heated Rush vs. Kiss debate. ;_;

Didn't sell enough of those stupid 'Tin' boxes!!!!
Oh by the way...both rock. I've seen Rush 4 times and seen Kiss 2x (one w/ makeup and one w/ out).
I'm going to see Kiss again in April
heheh, I always wanted to say that.
... How's SoF?
But as a musician/guitarist myself for the past 24 years, I can assure you, that all the members of Rush are extraordinary and I do mean AWESOMELY extraordinary musicians.
We can all have our opinions, but I am correct ;)
