Following this week's launch of the Call of Duty: World at War multiplayer beta on Xbox 360, publisher Activision has released a new trailer detailing the multiplayer component of the first-person World War II shooting game.

Developed by Treyarch, Call of Duty: World at War hits PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS on November 11, with series creator Infinity Ward returning to the franchise via next year's release of Call of Duty 6.

I have to admit, I was a worried this might be another COD3, but...so far things look really great. GameTrailers.com had a cam video with the Xbox mulitplayer, and I thought it looked like it would be a lot of fun, so... :D

      I know!!! It's like CoD4 and CoD-UO had a beautiful baby.

And by beautiful you mean horribly brown with every surface covered in noisy normal map and texture garbage. I didn't know every surface in the world was made out of the same thing.

it's the video editing, from the other game-play footage videos I've seen, it doesn't look like this...

From the beta I played, it does look like this.

Imo, the texturing leaves a lot to be desired.

I like horribly brown. It makes me feel like I'm playing in a real dirty war-torn environment, not some sterile colorfull playground.

I've been playing the multiplayer beta on the 360 and it's ok. The pace is noticably slower than CoD4 which is fine I guess. The graphics, specifically the textures, look low detail =/. The map with the tanks is quite fun and the art is better there but the Japan map looks so bad. The textures are all blurry.

Oh and dogs replacing the helicopter as the killspree reward is hilarious.

Keifer Sutherland shouting at you is worth the price of admission alone.
