BioShock 2 Teaser Trailer Leaks Out

Tucked away within the PlayStation 3 edition of BioShock is a short teaser for the impending sequel, dubbed BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams, and an off-screen video of the footage has now appeared prior to the PS3 version's October 21 launch.

Developer 2K Marin has yet to confirm platforms for the sequel, though BioShock 2 is expected to hit the same platforms as the original--PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360--when it arrives between August and October of 2009.

I never finished the first BioShock... I think I got bored with the combat before I got to any meaty plot points so I never got hookedi in. That was some fucking boring gameplay.

Is it wrong that I got buzz from the bioshock 2 logo, with that music in the background? I absolutely LOVED bioshock's atmosphere, and any staleness that occurred late in the game in regards to game play was, to me, entirely made up by the fact that I never wanted to leave the game's environment. I love the art deco feel, the aquatic decay, and I really want to believe that a sequel could possibly be worth playing.

As stupid as it may sound, Bioshock, despite what their developers said, could have a phenomenal and unique multiplayer. I'm not the kind of person that pays $60.00 for a game that I'll only play once. [but...I did do that for BioShock 1]

BioShock was all about Plasmids and the "powers" it gave you. Is it such a stretch to think that nobody who lived in a pineapple under the sea would've invented a water breathing plasmid? Who says that they'd have had to have had a grown up little sister like the one you may or may not have saved out of BioShock 1? Who says you got the whole kit and kaboodle? A crazy little sister 20 years later would be a crazy big sister, still processing ADAM out of the dead of Rapture.

I can't believe they are making a sequel. I would like to see a System Shock 3 instead of this. I think Dead Space will fill that gap for a short time though.

OK, some obvious stuff to take away from this video:

1. Rapture is no longer contained at the bottom of the sea.
2. The plot revolves around a grown "little sister"
3. You may possibly play as said little sister.
4. Takes place on the Atlantic Coast (most likely New Jersey/New York)
5. Sand penises are menacing

A sequel does seem kind of unnecessary, especially since the real star of the first game was Rapture; the plot felt like little more then a vehicle for exploring the place.

Also, "Sea Of Dreams"? Seriously!? Sooo cheesy...
