Skate 2 Trailer: A Hall of Meat?

Nice addition letting you control your ragdoll somewhat, but I'm still a bit bummed to see no lack of self preservation from these skaters. They should chuck a button in there that lets you try to recover or not get injured so bad from bail. Like putting your arms out so your head doesn't crack the pavement. Or just, you know, hopping off and stepping away from a minor head-on curb hit because you didn't ollie in time instead of using it as a springboard to pain like some stupid shmuck.

Guess that wouldn't be as fun for the kids :(

This is a definite buy for me. The first one was so damn fun.

I wasn't too excited altogether about being able to spin and flip your dude after a bail.. Sounds too much like a mini-game from certain games... However rolling into a cannonball and all that and more importantly the game tracking what you hit, how you land and then shows you a visual breakdown (which if I'm right there was only one shot of in this video and I thought it was the coolest part) that shows the bones broken and where they are. Sweet. The first ones damage "system" if you can call it that felt a little half-baked. Now I just wish they would add visual and gradual damage to the skater and the board. Remember in Tony Hawk when the bottom of the board would gradually scrape off on grinds specifically where you grinded on the board? Or when your jeans would wear at the knees when you bailed and I think even on your elbows you could see damage. I think they could really push this... Tearing clothes, limping, blood that ebbs and flows... Y'know, real next gen visual trickery that may not make the game necessarily better but certainly feeling more polished and compelling. Really wasn't planning on typing this much on a Skate 2 trailer...
