Accompanying our in-depth look at Gears of War 2's multiplayer modes, publisher Microsoft has provided some new screenshots comparing the original Gears of War multiplayer maps to the remakes found in the Gears of War 2 Flashback Map Pack.

A free one-time use code for the Flashback Pack will be bundled with all new copies of Epic's Xbox 360-exclusive sequel, which will be available on November 7.

So just to be clear, by any new copy of the game they mean every copy that is bought new from release date and onward (which obviously means no used copies)? Or do they mean pre-orders and launch day copies.

From my understanding it's the first way I mentioned (any new copy ever) but I just want to be sure.

Any new copy ever will pack a one-time use download code for the maps.

Everything I've read indicates your first guess is correct- all new copies, whether they're purchased at launch or next year, will have the code. I'm guessing it's a one-time use code so even if it ends up in a used copy it will be invalid if someone used it already.

exactly. It's their way of trying to curb people from buying used copies of the game.
