Latest Diablo 3 Video Shows Wizard Effects

Slow time looks excellent!

Generally Blizzard visual effects are top notch and like all VFX, don't get a whole lot of buzz. Good to see the guys over there getting some press. These effects fit with the nice painted style they are going for but I did notice a few things I hope they polish up between now and release.

The impact point of the disintegrate(?) beam looks a little odd with the particles locked to the endpoint, would look better with them unlocked and left behind. The lightning attack has some nice painted lightning beams but the animation flipbook speed feels very slow, there really isnt enough violence and proper speed in that whole effect. Magic missile and teleport look pretty good, although it seemed at times part of the missile impact was missing. The slow time bubble is totally killer though, both as a gameplay mechanic and the visual implementation.

wizard seems really fun to play. it has impressed me more than the barbarian and witchdoctor, so far.
