Target will carry an exclusive special edition of Shaun White Snowboarding that features exclusive in-game content, the retailer announced today.

Packing an extra mountain, more characters and the Target Chalet (pictured left), the Target-only Special Edition will sell for a $5 premium over the regular edition, and will be available in PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii form.

Those extras will not be released as downloadable content and can only be found in the Target-only release, a PR representative clarified to Shacknews.

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Shaun White Snowboarding will hit PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS and PSP later this year. The regular edition, priced at $50 on Wii and $60 on PS3 and Xbox 360, includes 4 mountains to trick and race down.

"Shaun has been riding for Target for nearly seven years, so this exclusive version of Shaun White Snowboarding was a natural fit for our relationship with him," explained Target Lifestyle Marketing rep Troy Michels. "It's great to see the Target brand brought to life alongside Shaun in the game."

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

bleh ... probably was not going to get this game anyway but I hate this stuff. Target is an inconvenient drive for me. Exclusive content is hurting the choice gamers usually have.
