Mercenaries 2 DLC Trailer Shows Explosions, Bird Suit

With Pandemic's dangerously flammable open-world game Mercenaries 2: World in Flames set to receive a patch soon for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, publisher Electronic Arts has sent along a trailer commemorating the occasion.

Entitled "Total Payback," the update adds an undisclosed amount of explosions as well as cheat codes and six new playable characters. It drops on October 13 on Xbox 360 and October 23 on PlayStation 3. Paid DLC will follow in November.

Glad they can poke fun at themselves at the end.

Rented this a couple times from Blockbuster and I'm still not done with it - nearing the 30 hour mark, too. Not nearly as awful as the reviews led me to believe. Granted, it could've been great, and I don't use the airstrikes nearly as much as I would've if I didn't have to be five feet away from my target to use them, but still - pretty amusing for what it is.

I traded in Mercs 2 for Fracture and I couldn't be happier. I think I played all of 2 hours of Mercs before O grew bored with it. Fracture's combat is just more satisfying and the weapons are crazy fun. MP is the shit as well.

I'm pretty sure the only people who didn't like Mercs 2 just don't have any friends to play coop with. Sucks for you guys.

wow, this game got delayed for 2 years and then they release DLC 2-3 weeks after it comes out? maybe if everybody gives EA all their money they'll stop?
