Back on Monday, I talked about how awesome the first few episodes of Californication were. Too bad the show lost its edge as it progressed. All that fun, whimsical drama and clever, crude writing has been toned down. As of the latest episode, it's basically a regular drama about a guy struggling to keep his family close. Boo.
On the upside, I managed to put some time into the DS version of Disgaea. Yup, the strategy-RPG still has that time-sucking charm of its PlayStation 2 big brother. The dual screen setup ensures you know everything about your foes, such as location and stats, and the touch screen controls work quite well. Just make sure to zoom out.
Oh, and Indiana? Still dreary, now with added dampness.

if you like good films about cloak and dagger cia shit, this movie fucking owns.
that i happening right now with me playing FFIX on the PSP. loading homebrew on my PSP was one of the best things i have ever done with this device. having the ability to take my games and load them on stick memory is beautiful. i never got to play FFIX but heard awesome reviews about it and i now i know why. this game is just beautiful and awesome to play for a PS1 game. i am really impressed with the cut scenes. finally hit disc 4 and am ready to start the big battles!

In the expansion, for the most part, with the same set of gear:
Paladins are great tanks and very good dps. (same set of gear for prot/ret: +AP)
Druids are great dps and very good healers. (same set of gear for balance/resto: +spell power)
Shaman are great dps and very good healers. (same set of gear for elemental/resto: +spell power)
Warriors are great tanks and very good dps. (same set of gear for prot/fury/arms: +AP)
Priests are great dps and very good healers. (same set of gear for holy/shadow: +spell power)
Death Knights are great tanks and very good dps. (same set of gear for blood/frost/unholy: +AP)
Switch up the great/very good status with whatever gear the above class raids with.
Warlocks, rogues, mages and hunters can continue to solo and raid in the same gear as they always have. But I'd say it's almost a waste to be a "pure" class now because you can only do one thing.

Apparently it is much harder than MM2. I haven't played it (MM9 keeping me busy) but am looking forward to trying it sometime. The soundtrack is all new, memorable, and so 8 bit in nature, even.

The Good: I got a promotion at work. More moneys and better responsibilities.
The Bad: I now have to work Friday AND Saturday nights (sorry Mindmann) so I'll have to miss the shackmeet.
The Ugly: A woman I work with, who started at the same time as me, and is ~15 years older than me was not given a promotion. So instead of just accepting it and moving on, she now tries to do my job for me every time we have a customer, which makes my job significantly more difficult. Especially since i have to remind her that she has other things she should be doing every single time.
