Why does this strike me as just another C&C title? What makes it so it's a part of the Red Alert universe?

The gameplay footage seems to be mostly PEW PEW lasers.

Holy smokes, they actually put hell march v3 in there? Cool.

Now they actually seem to have spent time with the rising sun faction I might pick it up, don't expect much difference over cnc3 though, well aside from the ugly art style in ra 3.

Any word if this will have the same standard EA DRM? I know its crazy but I hope so. I love being able to install on multiple computers and not have a disk in the drive legally.
