Legendary Gets Cthulhu-y In New Screenshots

Spark Unlimited's first-person shooter Legendary is set in modern day. Players will take up the role of professional thief Charles Deckard, hired by a mysterious organization to steal an ancient artifact from a New York museum. When the artifact, which turns out to be the legendary Pandora's Box, is opened, mythological creatures are unleashed upon the world. Then you shoot them. (Stuff probably blows up, too.)

Legendary is set for an October 21 release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

I am really hoping this game is good. I have liked everything I have seen so far, but I just hope it is polished.

Unfortunately it is coming out out on one of the most crowded days this year. Seems like a bad move for a new IP from a fledgling publisher (this is Gamecock if I remember right).

Am I missing something? I don't see any Cthulhu in those screenshots. Unless, of course they simply mean giant tentacles.
