BioWare's Star Wars MMO to Be Revealed on Oct 21?

Please be set in the original trilogy, not KOTOR.

Would have been much cooler if we got a Mass Effect MMO. I'm sick and tired of star wars, and to be frank, the mass effect IP is much more interesting and 'real'.

I refuse to buy it unless I get to play a bantha. They are the unsung heroes of the Star Wars Universe.

A few things here since I have heard this argument time and time again.

First the Monlty fee we need to face it all the good games are going towards this, companies are seeing the profits Blizzard made with WoW and they want their share.

I feel the game should be held in the KoToR time period compared to the original trilogy because Galaxies failed miserably and the KoToR time no one knows about it just yet, I think after the first two the stories were great (I know a lot of people do not like the second one but I felt as a game to continue an original story it was pretty solid)

Some things I would like to see when this is released is - I hope they take galaxies as it first launched and add things like that into the game, becoming bounty hunters, creating a colony on a planet, etc. The random classes and jobs that you could do in galaxies before the combat patch. So with that said Kudos to BioWare and LucasArts if this is what they are announcing I can't wait.

I am REALLY interested to see Bioware's take on an MMORPG.

I think it will largely be similar to their kotor games, but will be very close to other MMORPGs out there right now when it comes to combat.

I think most of their emphasis will be placed on story and quest structure.

I doubt we will see space combat.

I will never and have never have paid a monthly fee to play a game. What they need to do is release a decent single player Star Wars RPG.

I hope they have learned their lessons from SWG. SOE really fuuucked that up... So far Bioware has an extrodinary track record with hits imo and I really hope they deliver on this. I wan't a good sci fi mmo and if it is in a Star Wars setting all the better for the Star Wars nerd in me.

I have a bad feeling about this...

They better do something really different for this. Something that's not representative of the current MMO market...something to bring it out of the exact same design that every game follows.

Oh very excited. I'm going to have such a low barrier here that as long as it's functionally on a level with City of Heroes from about a year ago I'll be subscribing. I can't really help myself.

Tie Fighter meets Jedi Knight is all i gotta say.
