New Alan Wake Screenshot Surfaces, Trailer Coming

Today is a good day, for the gaming world has been graced with photographic proof that Alan Wake is still alive.

Alan Wake fan site BrightFalls found a new screenshot on the website of Finnish magazine Pelaaja, reportedly taken from a trailer of the game which will soon see release.

VG247 confirmed that a new trailer from developer Remedy is on the way and will premiere in the studio's native Finland on October 15. The trailer was reportedly made by the team in celebration of the coming release of the Max Payne movie. Remedy also developed the shooter now heading to Hollywood.

Remedy also revealed that its mysterious new 360 and PC game is taking long because "it's a small team and building an open world game is very tough." To help, Remedy is calling upon its resources from Max Payne publisher Rockstar, including voice director Navid Khonsari.

A release date for the game, in development since early 2005, has not been given, but Remedy CFO Mika Reini said in August, "we're still here and working hard on getting Alan Wake for you to enjoy."

Hell yeah! I have been expecting a very story-driven survival horror game of some sort...I wonder what exactly they mean by "open-ended?" Anyway, I could totally see David Duchovny on the voice cast for this one :D

Looks like they're entering into quantic dream territory judging by the looks

I sure hope not. I like Duchovny, but his work in Area 51 was abysmal.

not sure I can blame him, all the 3 lines of craptastic writing for some utterly shitty game. I felt as sorry for him as I felt for the time I wasted on playing the game.

I'm sorry, I like David Duchovny, but he's a terrible actor.
