EA Redwood Shores' creepy-crawly sci-fi action game Dead Space has gone gold--meaning the title is complete and has entered the manufacturing process--publisher and studio owner Electronic Arts has announced.

As previously announced and reconfirmed today, the North American release of Dead Space will hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 14, with the PC edition following on October 20. A $150 Ultra Limited Edition of the Xbox 360 version, limited to 1,000 copies, is also available for pre-order from the online EA Store.

i nabbed spore off direct2drive. it was the first time downloading from there and it was pretty easy and quick too. basically downloaded a cd image and put in the cd key d2d gave me and it installed the game with an integrated no cd crack i suppose. seamless. this will be my new alternative for EA games as I would never pay for anything off of the EA store

Hmm, I've never used them. It's the same .exe and everything? I mean, patching D2D games isn't a problem?
