Third World Games' mech shooter War World debut as a downlodable Xbox 360 game this Wednesday, October 1, Microsoft and publisher Ubisoft have announced.

Priced at 800 Microsoft Points ($10), the Xbox Live Arcade action game packs 16 mechs, over 100 single-player levels, and 4 online multiplayer modes: Capture the Flag, Bomb Assault, Death Match and Team Death Match.

holy shit, about goddamn time. I talked to Mort Broderson who's studio did this and the game has been ready to drop for well over a year. Evidently Ubi and MS were waiting for something....not sure what but I'm quite happy it'll be out. The PC version was a lot of fun (I was their first paying customer) but I think its a better fit for Live! due to its fast gameplay.
