I would like to have an opinion about an: INTEL CORE 2 QUAD Q6600 2.4GHZ 8MB 1066MHZ S-775
I'm just about to build a new office system and it was 4-5 years ago and I haven't kept up with all the stupid processor namings. I know a GF9600 something is adequate and 3-4 Gb of ram should be sufficient, but I a bit stumped on the choice of processor, nothing *to* fancy, its not for gaming but heavy office use (Visual studio 2008, video (trans)encoding etc).
But it still should last many years (say 4-5).
So what you say mighty oracle on the internets ?
