First Post!

Your face, your ass, what's the difference?

At last, Duke Nukem 3D on Xbox Live Arcade. Still one of my favorite shooters, so I gladly plunked down the ten bucks. Going from keyboard to gamepad is really no problem here thankfully. Now we just need that damn sequel.

      Hmmm.....that looks...off.

      Only 150,000 characters in guilds?

Paul Barnett said in a recent interview that WAR pop was currently at about 50% higher than DAOC at its peak and growing. That is 375,000 players. 150/375 = 40%, which is a pretty high decent number of players in guilds. Kind of freakily, it's also the exact proportion tashtego predicted the first time I posted this: http://www.shacknews.com/laryn.x?id=18000094#itemanchor_18000094

Also I imagine the proportion will increase the longer the game is out and the more organized people get. I only formed a guild with the guys I play with a few hours ago actually.

oh this is only US/Oceanic too. 375k players is what I was thinking it was closer, I am just shocked there are so many people un-guilded.

yeah you're right. The proportion is probably significantly higher in that case. Probably more like 65% guilded.

On Xbox live, do you play with random tards or friends? Same thing in an MMO, do you want to play with random kiddies or friends? If you play with friends you don't really need a guild.

its still beneficial to form a guild. There are lots of cool perks built in to it.

Do you know any information about WAR and how important guilds are? If you level with a set group of friends, why NOT form a guild? Your logic is strangely backwards IMO.

I've never played WAR no, and I was mostly talking about the lower levels. Usually in MMORPGs you don't really need a guild until the final part of the game. In World of Warcraft, I tend to stay unguilded until about L40-50.

the cloned servers aren't on that list either, they made have had new additions after cloning that the original servers didn't get. Not many mind you, but still a few more.

      Bechafen - Order: 1010, Destruction: 3116, Ratio = 1 : 3.1

Our Queue times are instant, however there are more destruction players running around order noob zones than order players.
