Far Cry 2 Multiplayer Screenshots: Cars and Rockets

Publisher Ubisoft has released 15 new screenshots from Ubisoft Montreal's open-world shooter sequel Far Cry 2, providing a glimpse of the title's various multiplayer modes running on the PC.

Far Cry 2 arrives on October 21 in PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 incarnations.

I miss Quake-era text-only epitaphs. I wish there was a game that would let you choose between old-school and the "attacker -> weapon -> victim" style death messages.

Looks similar to Grand Theft Auto IV's multiplayer. I can only hope that it's better... watched the long video of the multiplayer gameplay, and it looked really fun. One part even had the character relocate his own arm, which was cool. Still, I don't like the simple color text above each player's head. I wish they would put a symbol or something less noticeable. Also, it would suck if the enemy's name stayed above their heads as well. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I had a chance to play this recently in Montreal and came away very impressed. Crytek can make a pretty engine and come up with decent innovations, but I really think it took a company like Ubisoft to polish the idea.

I felt it was an improvement over the first game in almost every way.

I have to say I'm not a fan of the new "next" and "previous" arrow sizes and positions when trying to go through screenshots. Took me a damn while to find the > and then it changed positions when I got to the next screenshot. Why did they change?
