New screenshots and gameplay videos of Insomniac's alternate history sci-fi shooter Resistance 2 (PS3) have arrived, highlighting the game's single player campaign, 8-player class-based online co-op mode, 60-person online competitive multiplayer, along with some fresh concept art and renders.

I can't imagine that the weapon sounds will be that low in the retail game. Not sure why they're like that now.

Alright, this game doesn't look appealing at all. That has to be the weakest sounding shotgun I've ever heard, the graphic design is pretty awful, combat looks pretty dull (even with all the enemies on screen), and the whole thing reminds me of Halo (ugh). The floaty movement seems to have survived from the first game intact as well. I didn't like that one, and though I was hoping I would, I don't think I'm going to like this one either.

The videos i've seen on other sites and screenshots don't look this bad...

i seriously think Chris Faylor or whoever puts together these vids and news posts is an Xbot fanboy who tries to make the PS3 games look like crap

The vid posted here, btw, is from COOP. That is why the XP is popping up and why you see other people running around with names above their heads. Don't think the graphics are up to par with the actual one person singleplayer...aren't they? The other videos look good, especially the forest ones. The COOP ones I've seen don't look quite as good.

I dunno if it's just the video, but the monster deaths seem really, really loud. Like, a lot louder than your guns, which seems wierd to me.

Besides lots of enemies on screen, the game looks dated, weak weapon design and well kinda crappy all in all. I judge this from that video, the shots look OK.
