Golden Axe: Beast Rider Ships October 17

Question: Did I see any gameplay in that trailer? Any non-old-GA gameplay?

I worked in an arcade when this game came out. It was REALLY easy to beat. It was short. That guy that says he pumped his entire allowance into GA either had a really tiny allowance, or he sucked.

Blah, looks like every other console game. It looks 3D-I-FIED. At least in the original was "truly" something new.

I'm really getting sick of this new style of video game promo video. Sure the backgrounds are flashy and the editing is good but I want to just hear people talk to me about the game. I want to see the actual game. I don't need to see clips of old Golden Axe because like everyone else, I've played golden axe. If you've never played it your probably too young and seeing the old pixelated original wont excite you in the least. I DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT THE GODDAMN VOICE ACTOR THINKS ABOUT THE GAME!.

That gears of war video Epic released recently was the same style. I find it really annoying in that it reminds me of reality TV shows but at least Epic can have some people talk about the game that actually have something to do with making the game. Cliffy B is way more interesting than Crispen Boyer! Videogame Journalist!

I call bullshit on those guys fondly remembering pumping quarter after quarter into arcade machines. If it came out in 1989 those guys would've either not been born yet or they would've been like 1 or 2 years old tops.

Now I remember. The death sounds of the NPC's were taken from the death scene in Conan the Barbarian when Thorgim sprung the trap that impailed. It sounds like AAAAAWWWWWHHHHHT!

What is up with the game commentary in the article? If this is the first Sega has opened the curtains on this game it could easily mean JUST THAT, couldn't it? I mean it's not like there has never been a sleeper hit before. A new, fun title doesn't need to have a media blitz to be successful. That is even less necessary for it to just be a good game.

The big bad mo-fo in that first screenshot looks less like he's trying to hurt the main character and more like he's just trying to get a good eye-full of her hotness.

He even kind of has a smile on his face.
