I love this game so much I am buying the retail box. Someday I will replay the game but for now I have Destruction ass to kick. And then I have to shoot some radioactive mutants and Ukranians. This week had too many big name releases I actually want to play :(

I bought Witcher months ago but before I got around to playing it the Enhanced Edition was announced as a work in progress. So I waited. :) Just installed it today along with EE and am now playing my first time through! But anyway what I wanted to post is that if you launch the game without the disc in the drive it will ask for it and if you click Cancel the game will launch anyway! It appears to work and I'm going to play it this way until it doesn't ;).

I just reinstalled The Witcher today and launched it as v1.0. Does anyone remember any known issues with version 1.0 that makes you see all the light sources thru walls?

Example: In the opening scene at Kaer Moren, I can see all these yellow globes of light thru walls, thru characters faces, and it turns out the globes are all the torches on the walls in the fortress.

It's like the light sources are not being blocked by walls or anything.

Do you need to have the adventures downloaded prior to installing the update? I have one of them downloaded (the one on Fileshack) and it appeared in the list of "stuff to install", so now I'm worried that when the other one finally finishes, I won't be able to install it.

Quick note: the new adventures are not included in the patch download (I let the FileShack guys know)... those should be picked up separately.

Thank god for fileshack!

For some reason this patch+all the other content has only been available from one massively overloaded polish server up until now.

I've downloaded more from fileshack in the past few minutes than in the last 3 hours from the official site :)
