Rumor: Mirror's Edge PC Pushed to 2009
by Blake Ellison, Sep 16, 2008 3:20pm PDTMirror's Edge, DICE's highly anticipated parkour-running first-person action title, may have had its PC version delayed into the calendar year 2009.
Retail websites like GameStop have changed Mirror's Edge's PC release date to early January 2009, Big Download recently noticed. The delay does not appear to affect the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, which retailers have pegged for release this year.
Publisher Electronic Arts' only official word is that the game will arrive in "winter," though representatives from DICE have previously told Shacknews that the PC and console versions would be released simultaneously.

What i think is, this is a single player game mainly and as such the chances of this thing getting whore'd out before release is tremendous. All the little scum bags will steal this game left right and center and with no MP compoent worth anything guess what that means?
So EA in an attempt to lock in as many legit sales as possible is going to intentionally delay the PC port to get as many sales as possible. Then when the initial hype dies down they will release the PC port thus minimizing the damage to sales from al the thieves.
Am I happy about it? NO Is it a fact of life? YES. Just say thank you to all your friendly wares whores on this and many forums across the interwebz.

It sucks, but focus on another game (like Far Cry 2 or Warhead or Dead Space or Left 4 Dead or DOW 2 or Diablo 3 or Lich King or Fallout or GTA4 or COD5) and before you know it, ME will be here.

Did I say that out loud?
OK, this game looks like it would play well on a game pad. I just hope the extra time is to used to rethink DRM-Hell and update any portion of the game that would benefit from an actual pointer.
