Wipeout HD to Be Released September 25

Following last week's $19.99 price point reveal, Sony Computer Entertainment today announced that Wipeout HD will be released September 25.

As noted before, the PlayStation Network release from SCE Liverpool will include five game modes, eight player online racing, two-player splitscreen support, eight tracks, 1080p visuals and Trophy support.

Huh. Looks absolutely beautiful and great fun, but oddly it still seems a bit slower than F-Zero GX despite all the extra horsepower available for the PS3, which is a shame since for these types of racers the 'Hold on to your seat!' sensation is pretty much everything. I think it's because the boost effects end too quickly, but it's still a bit odd.

- Check out the Before/After videos of the Zone mode. I guess this is the mode causing epilepsy. : Vegtro
- I believe the only issue was with the "Zones" Mode, which had a different look than the default race mode... : carbontree
