PC gamers couldn't figure out what the big deal was with Halo but the fact was, most console gamers had not had much exposure to FPS's and deathmatch experiences prior to that. Actually, a lot of people in the Xbox generation had little to no exposure to games at all prior to Halo (my sister, for example). So much in the same way we look back on DOOM and Quake fondly, they look back on Halo fondly.
Meaning then that no way were a lot of them even around for the Duke Nukem 3D era. There have been Duke Nukem games on consoles but they've probably not made much impact - same way when something like DMC4 comes to PC it doesn't make much impact.
