World of Warcraft Opens PvE to PvP Server Transfers

32
World of Warcraft players can now move their characters from a Player vs. Environment server to a Player vs. Player server for $25, developer Blizzard has announced.

While the company has long provided paid character transfers for the PC MMO, subscribers were previously unable to move their characters from a server that pitted them against AI opponents realm to one that also allowed player vs. player combat.

"As the state of the game has matured substantially since the inception of Paid Character Transfers, we will now be allowing PvE-to-PvP transfers on a full-time basis to provide players with more mobility and freedom to easily play with their friends," the company explained on its official forum.

I know, if you are playing WAR and came from WOW could you really go back?

I know I can't, shit even last night I got a loot drop in a RVR battle of another player. Small but to me that is very cool, so many subtleties.

Or I farmed a shit load of Wolfs (to hit a lvl), I got an achievement you killed 100 wolfs, small but cool.

WOW is like a mindless drone and WAR is like an AI system that cares about the player and acts like a guardian.

Still Wow is cool its not bad, its just old.

I'm level 10 and I was helping my cousin go from level 1-4 and I was still getting some XP because I was getting tome unlocks for killing large numbers of whatever monster we were killing. And he was still getting solid XP from all kills.

I can't go back to WoW in its current state.

I had cancer earlier this week.

After playing WAR, I still have cancer.

But you probably got cancer from monitor radiation due to all those marathon raids in WoW that they require you to do just to compete for the newest loot set they added to the game.

Probably because that's not why they open character transfers...

Yes. If you have 10m subs (and rising) you clearly need panic moves to withstand the competition.
