MotorStorm 2 Arrives October 28

Evolution Studios' sequel to its offroad racer MotorStorm (PS3) will hit PlayStation 3 on October 28, publisher and studio owner Sony has revealed via the PlayStation.Blog.

Instead of the original's desert setting, MotorStorm Pacific Rift features an island environment that has a number of different terrains across its 16 tracks. Other additions include monster trucks, support for up to 16 online players, and 4-person offline split-screen.

Hopefully you can install the damn thing to the PS3 HD. Motorstorm's loading times were abysmal.

Does the new one have split screen co-op/racing? Borrowed this game from my brother and was in complete shock at how the developer could leave such a vital feature to any raciing game out.

Are there studies on game sales for those released in the same month? There's a deluge of games being released in October, but since people aren't going to buy every game they want (unless they're loaded), a lot of games are going to get looked over. Wouldn't you want to release your game in a lull, when there are no real competitors? Increase sales? Maybe I know nothing about economics, but this just seems stupid. I know it's the holiday season and all, but I don't see the point of releasing EVERYTHING at the end of the year.
