Following the recent launch of the open beta for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, developer Myhtic Entertainment has revealed exactly when North American pre-order customers will get their promised early access to the live game servers.

Those that pre-ordered the Collector's Edition will be able to start playing on Sunday, September 14. Access for those that pre-ordered the regular edition will follow on Tuesday, September 16.

Unlike the beta that is currently underway, any progression made during the "head start" program will be retained whenthe PC MMO officially launches on September 18,

I'm tempted to stop playing my chosen because I'll just be restarting him on Tuesday. LOVE the public quests, they are truly fun to do with others. Haven't had enough time with RvR yet.

Yeah I've been really busy and haven't yet managed to log on during the open beta - I'm on holiday next week and I'm thinking I should just wait until then.

Yeah, i'm not going hardcore either, the beta chrs will be lost but I will be playing this game for many many hrs.

Will we have to download a seperate client or can we use our beta that we downloaded? Does anyone know?

from what i've read the install on retail is supposed to be ~ 15 gigs, the beta is only 9.5ish, so you might have to at least download another large chunk of textures/movies/fixes etc. The Direct2Drive guy I emailed about it said that he was 'almost certain' that the beta people would have to redownload a totally new client.

Of course, that could be like asking a gamestop employee something, too.

several posts on the warhammeralliance forums have mentioned that you'll have the ability to patch the beta client to a retail one. I still haven't found anything official yet though.

Yeah, I see that all the nay-sayers have almost vanished from most forums I frequent.

      Here's a handy tip:
The RvR sets you can buy at lvl 4 (renown rank 4), lvl 6 (renown rank 6) and lvl 10 (renown rank 8) blow away all other low-lvl gear in the game except for some public quest rewards. Also, you can fill out your char with trinkets and a cape through RvR rank much faster than achieving them through regular quests.
Lastly, the RvR armor sets look pretty sweet!

Got to Chapter 3 and thats when I started really liking the public quests. Did them a few times and GF got a blue item and I got a purple belt. Didn't realize you could sometimes get blue and gold bags from them as that was the first time I had seen it.

Kind of sucks getting the highest contribution and rolling last place. Happens more often then I think it should. Twice in a row my GF and I were #1 and #2 in contribution and both times neither of us won anything and one rolled either last or next to last.
