Wii Music Screenshots Jam Away

Rock Band and Guitar Hero get people over the fact that they look silly playing pretend instruments by
1) giving them a plastic instrument
2) putting the focus on score and achieving a goal

Without that it pretty much becomes grown people playing make believe with their friends. It will be really hard to get your friends to join in IMHO.

I played it a couple years ago at E3 when they first announced the Wii. It was pretty interesting stuff. For example, there was one mode where the screen was filled with the biggest drum kit you've ever seen, viewed in 1st person, and you could use 2 remotes to just jam out.

Then, there was the orchestra of Miis which you conducted with the remote- there were a choice of various orchestral versions of Zelda, etc. music and you could make the orchestra play following your direction, slowing or speeding it up, making the horn section play louder or the violin section play lower- you could tell it was pretty sophisticated tech, wrapped up in a kind of silly looking package.

Personally, I think kids will go crazy for this one- they get to play something like 50 different instruments. Also, uninhibited and/or musically minded people will like it. But yeah, the modes I saw were completely free-form and it was just a fun music synthesizer. Would be nice if there will be some more abstract , non-cute visuals, but heck I still love to mess around with Electroplankton, so I'm assuming I'll enjoy this one too.

Me fail Wii Music? That's unpossible.

What? No screenshots of the Miyamoto Mii playing the cowbell?

I think it actually has lots of fun (and even teaching) potential but I fear it will end up just like Wii Sports.. A fun but incomplete experience.. And in the end just an experience, not a fully fleshed out game.
I know Miyamoto see this as a toy.. and that's cool, but even if the thing ends up being dirt cheap (Wii Play style) I can't help but feel like it's a waste of perfectly good potential.

Nintendo better start communicating soon about all the various modes of play of this game (if there are any) because releasing screenshot with no other infos only reminds people how bland this 'game' sound so far.

I'm gonna not buy this so hard.

First Battlefield Heroes trailer and now this, I feel like I am taking crazy pills. Well at least Battlefield Heroes is free but still.

Maybe I should cancel my RB2 and GH4 pre order and get this instead.
