Rock Band PAX Charity DLC: Jonathon Coulton, MC Frontalot's Achewood Tune, Darkest Thickets
by Chris Faylor, Sep 01, 2008 9:40am PDTDeveloper Harmonix has revealed the PAX 2008 Collection, the latest batch of downloadable content for its multi-instrument music game Rock Band.
The bundle itself will sell for 240 Microsoft Points ($3), with each track going individually for 80 Microsoft Points ($1). Per usual, the pack is slated to hit Xbox 360 tomorrow, September 2, with the PlayStation 3 release following on Thursday, September 4.
- Jonathan Coulton - "Skullcrusher Mountain"
- MC Frontalot - "Livin' on the Corner of Dude and Catastrophe"
- Darkest of the Hillside Thickets - "Shhh..."
Until holiday 2008, all of the Harmonix and MTV Games-side proceeds from the PAX pack will be donated to the Child's Play Charity, which was founded by Penny Arcade to better children's hospitals.
The offerings include the tale of a misunderstood genius wooing a woman with a half-monkey, half-pony from Still Alive writer Jonathon Coulton, MC Frontalot and Brad Sucks' 2006 tune inspired by Chris Onstad's seminal Achewood comic, and an unreleased track from nerd rockers Darkest of the Hillside Thickets.

I'll just donate cash directly to Child's Play rather than sully my playlist with nerdcore. ;)
