  • Well. my idea is a GAME should be pretty well off w/o patches..
the d3d rendering WAS nice in unreal but didnt thrill me that my system had to be rebooted to be useable again..
unreal.. just plain sucked.. i was too accustomed to quake2... sure it looked pretty and all.. but a good game isnt in GFX its in game play.. some thing that unreal didnt agree with me on...
and as for being a Quake Hippie.. ya i admit i am kinda PRO QUAKE... but when a game SUCKS... it sucks bad..
and Unreal Hippy Boy....Where is that Unreal server webpage?...
I aint holding final judgement.. unreal tourny has a big hurdle to jump b4 i say its a good game... it has to have Game Play.. not those pretty screen shots i see.....sure you want to play a game like that with those gfx.. but then you realize.. when they took that screen shot they had every thing TURNED ON and RESOLUTION MAXXED OUT.. and Frames Per Second was down to around 5.. no... that isnt a screen shot.. a screen shot should be in a game with playable options...
sure it might be possable to play a game with all options turned on and get decent speed.. but eye candy isnt game play...
eye candy is 2nd to game play..
    thats my other few cents...
