C&C: Red Alert Becomes Free Download This Sunday

13
This Sunday, August 31, marks the 13th anniversary of the original Command & Conquer, the classic PC real-time strategy game from Westwood Studios.

To mark the occasion, long-time publisher Electronic Arts is giving away Command & Conquer: Red Alert. EA did not indicate for how long the download will be available, but it will be available all day on the 31st.

The free download, badly-acted FMV sequences and all, will be posted at the Red Alert 3 website, in a promotion for EA LA's upcoming sequel. Red Alert 3 will hit PC and Xbox 360 in October, and those who pre-order the game will also get a free download of Red Alert 2.
