Dead Space To Launch Early
by Maarten Goldstein, Aug 29, 2008 6:25am PDTEA's new sci-fi survival horror game Dead Space had been pegged for an October 31 release date since February, but the company today announced the game will be released a week earlier.
According to the European arm of the publisher, development of the game at EA Redwood Shores finished ahead of schedule, and in Europe the game will now ship October 24 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The PC version is still set for an October 31 release.
It is expected that the North American release of the game will ship earlier as well, but confirmation has yet to arrive.

I admire a developer that's got enough sense to say, this is good enough to ship now. Extra production and polish is great, but knowing in advance what needs to be done and getting it done even ahead of schedule is just great planning.
......Assuming the game doesn't end up sucking :P
